Pick up the still Koi, set her down on her back and wipe off the water. Spawning will fail if water mixes with the eggs or sperms. After wiping it off, wash the genitals with Ringer solution (a solution simliar to Koi’s body fluid). (To remove water completely, preferably wash the instruments in advance with Ringer solution as well) |
